Robust and fault-tolerant spacecraft attitude control based on an extended-observer design

Abstract The aim of this work is to develop a robust control strategy able drive the attitude spacecraft reference value, despite presence unknown but bounded uncertainties in system parameters and external disturbances. Thanks use an extended observer design, proposed law against all that affect high-frequency gain matrix, which shown capture broad spectrum modelling issues, some are often neglected by traditional approaches. controller then provides robustness parametric uncertainties, as moment inertia estimation, payload deformations, actuator faults disturbances, while maintaining its asymptotic properties.
